This Privacy Policy explains how AI Snip Animator (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, processes, stores, and protects information when you use the AI Snip Animator browser extension (available for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox) and related website services.
1. Information We Collect
A. Personal Information
We collect minimal personal information, strictly as required for account plan service functionality:
- Email address: Collected only if you voluntarily write to us for customer support.
- Activation Key / Account ID: Generated upon successful plan purchase to authenticate account plan tier limits (Basic, Standard, Premium) across your devices.
Payment Information: Credit card numbers, expiration dates, and billing details are processed directly by Stripe. AI Snip Animator never receives, accesses, or stores payment card data.
B. Screen Capture Data
The extension processes the following capture data only when explicitly initiated by you:
- Selected Webpage & Desktop Screen Snippets: When you activate the on-screen snipping tool or select "Snip Desktop App", only the specific rectangular region of the webpage, desktop screen, or application window explicitly selected by you is captured as an image frame. No continuous screen recording or background desktop capture occurs.
- Transient Image Transmission: Captured snippet images are transmitted over secure HTTPS/TLS to our cloud processing backend solely to render your requested motion graphic/animation video or GIF.
- Immediate Data Erasure: Screen captures are processed in real-time and deleted immediately after the animation output file is rendered. Captures are never saved, archived, or compiled into datasets.
- No Browsing History or Full Webpage Scraping: AI Snip Animator does NOT access, monitor, log, or record your browsing history, visited URLs, search queries, or unselected webpage content.
C. Device and Local Extension Data
- Local Settings & Theme: Extension theme preferences (Light/Dark mode) and active license tokens are stored locally inside your browser using
chrome.storage.local. - Random Local Instance Token: A randomly generated token created when the extension is installed, used to track remaining free animation credits locally without requiring user registration.
2. No AI Model Training on User Captures
Your screen captures belong 100% to you. Captured images and generated animation outputs processed by AI Snip Animator are never used to train public, commercial, or third-party AI models.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information strictly to:
- Provide core extension functionality (rendering AI motion graphics from user screen snippets).
- Validate account plan status and activation keys.
- Respond to customer support requests.
- Prevent fraud or API abuse.
4. Extension Permissions Disclosure
AI Snip Animator requests only the minimum required extension permissions. Each is used solely for its stated purpose:

| desktopCapture | Captures pixel-accurate screen snippets of selected webpage regions, cross-origin images, iframes, or video frames strictly on-demand. No background screen recording or continuous capture ever takes place. |
| <all_urls> (Host Permissions) | Enables the interactive crop selection overlay to function on any webpage selected by the user. We do NOT monitor, log, track, or record your browsing history, visited URLs, or unselected page content. User privacy is strictly maintained at all times. |
5. Service Providers & Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We share limited information only with essential infrastructure service providers necessary to operate the service:
- Stripe: Payment processing for account plans (Basic, Standard, Premium) and add-on credit packs. Payment details are processed directly by Stripe under Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Fal.ai: Cloud GPU AI motion synthesis provider. Processes transient snippet images strictly to render animation frames without storing images or using captures for AI training.
- Vercel: Web application hosting and serverless API infrastructure.
6. Data Security & Storage
- All communication between your browser and our backend API uses mandatory HTTPS / TLS 1.3 encryption.
- Screen captures are held only in temporary memory during rendering and deleted immediately upon output generation.
- No plaintext passwords, banking credentials, or unneeded PII are collected or stored.
7. User Choices & Data Deletion
You may uninstall the AI Snip Animator extension at any time via your browser's extension manager. Uninstalling immediately removes all locally stored extension preferences and active keys.
To request account or plan data deletion, please send us an email. Verified deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
AI Snip Animator is not directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
